If my Aunt had balls, she'd be my Uncle

Watch this video, resist a standing ovation, then read below.

I am fairly certain that the combined deficit of all of these proclaimed "Fiscal Conservatives" has been surpassed by Barack Obama, a Democrat. I don't know for certain and I don't care, as I don't think it makes one ounce of difference. Say hello to my friends, context and relativity.

What the Alberta Liberals have never been able to figure out, is that I don't want more and more creative ways for them to criticise the Alberta Tories (or WAP in this case); what I want them to do is create an opposition agenda that intrigues me enough to risk voting for them. I know it must make them feel good to look down on people like me as uneducated or simplistic, but aren't the issues just a bit more complicated than this.

Can I suggest, if it's this simple, that Dr. David Swann propose a $10B cut in programs, services and spending to balance the budget of Alberta? I am tired of being insulted as a simplistic buffoon with these moronic arguments to what are complicated issues.

Kudos to Dave Cournoyer who has the time to discuss this in more detail.

Obama is spending because of the mess the far-right Republicans left and the financial ruin his country was in. Keep in mind that even if he was just forking it out for ideological reasons -- the Democrats are further right that either our provincial PCs or the federal Conservatives... they are not even remotely a left wing or centrist part based on the Canadian political spectrum.

I do agree that the Liberals need to provide us options, but I did applaud this refreshing video... change is in the air...
