Poll on religion and government
Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 11:20PM I am very skeptical of the far right-wing agenda of legislating morality. Contrary to what you might think, I am not extremely at all left-wing when it comes to creating governance and bureacracy, especially when it comes to fiscal management and individual freedoms. In may ways, adding legislation where it is innecessary and even contrary to basic human rights, seems actually counter-conservative. I have always wondered why Conservatives let this agenda steal their place on the ideological spectrum.
My issues is not anti-religion, but anti-legislation of ONE religion over another, or over a non-religious view-points. This video is from the American "Right Wing Watch", and I am sensitive to it being an American response to American legislation. BUT I want to know what Albertans think.

I find it very ironic that on the above mentioned website the quote "Speak out against intolerance" appears as the American Way. What am I missing? PLEASE give me your vote. I sincerely am curious what you think. I would also appreciate your comments. NOTE (POLL REMOVED DUE TO TECHNICAL PROBLEMS IT WAS CAUSING.)

i couldnt even watch the whole thing without losing my breakfast.......good lord, (pun intended) some people just dont get it.
I especially like the allusion to innocent people losing their lives when a bus driver drives over a cliff. What governments should legislate against are beards as ugly and unkempt as the rabbi's. Then... and only then... will we be on the road to salvation.
Religion in politics is anything but irrelevant. The vast majority of people profess a faith and politics should reflect this. Sadly the PC's have lost their way on this (and everything else) and the Wildrose Alliance is the only moral option.
My thoughts? At about the 40 second mark, I thought...this guy is an idiot. At the 46 second mark, I turned it off. If I would have been eating breakfast, I would have lost it, too. Good grief.
